| 抄録 | （和） | 本発表では、食べ物と食べる行為、そして言語表現との関係性を、食べる感覚の言語化、食べ物の命名、記憶の描写という３つの視点でとらえる。人は食べる際に五感を使って食べ物の状態・特性を知覚する。食べた時、感じた時にその感覚を意識的に言語化しておくと記憶は定着しやすく、また表現力も豊かになる。食べ物の記憶は、食べ物の状態だけでなく、食べた場面や心情なども共に思い起こされ描写される。印象深い食べ物は、名前を聞いただけで食べたときの感覚や記憶が思い起こされる。一方、食べたことがなくとも、命名とそのデザイン（意匠）から作り手の意図や背景を読み取る力があれば、時間と空間を超えて食べ物を通した会話が成り立つ。和菓子の命名は、その好例だといえる。 |
| （英） | In this presentation, the relationship between food, eating behavior, and linguistic expression will be examined from three perspectives: verbalization of eating sensations, the naming of foods, and food memory descriptions. When eating, people use their five senses to perceive the state and characteristics of food. By consciously verbalizing sensations experienced during eating, we establish memories more easily and enhance our expressiveness. Food memories relate not only to the state of food itself; they evoke descriptions of the scenes and the feelings we experience while eating. Food that left a deep impression on us brings up feelings and memories just with one mention of the name. On the other hand, even with items you have never eaten, if you have the ability to appreciate the creator's intention and background simply from the naming and design, you can engage in conversation about food that transcends time and space. The naming of wagashi traditional Japanese confectionary is a good example. | |
