Hyper Parameter Optimization with Genetic Algorithm in Reservoir Computing Based MIMO-OFDM Detection

(in English) In this paper, we investigate a MIMO-OFDM symbol detection based on reservoir computing (RC), which is a special type of recurrent neural network (RNN). It is known that RC provides excellent performance with a limited amount of training set. To fully utilize the performance of RC, we use genetic algorithm (GA) to optimize hyper parameters in RC. The simulation results show that the bit error rate (BER) of the RC-based detection can be improved by the hyper parameter optimization with GA and that the degradation from the maximum likelihood detection is about 2 dB at a BER of 0.01.
