Photoresponsive Mechanism of Functional Bio-hybrid Membranes Based on Lipid Bilayer Structure

(in English) Lipid bilayer membranes have unique properties, such as ultra-thin film and ultra-high resistance, and can be easily formed by self-assembly processes. They have been widely applied in biological research and have recently attracted attention as a basic structure for self-assembled devices.
In a previous research, it was reported that a bio-hybrid membrane was formed by doping a lipid bilayer with fullerene derivatives. The hybrid membrane showed a reversible and reproducible response to light irradiation.
However, the mechanism of photoresponse from the hybrid membrane remains unclear.
In this presentation, we will explain the mechanism of the photoresponsive hybrid membrane in detail.
