The major challenge of measurement-based radio propagation estimation is to have an accurate path loss model at cell-edge, i.e., areas with low signal-to-noise power ratio (SNR).
This is because the least-squares method and neural network may underestimate the path loss due to the lack of some signal lower than the noise.
To addressee the challenge, we investigate the path loss model with a truncated regression model.
With the model, we can estimate the distribution of the missing signals and correct the distribution of total signals.
We confirm the effectiveness of the proposal by using the measurement data in Matsuyama city. |
