Satellite communications have traditionally been a relatively closed network, but with the standardization of NTNs, a wide variety of use cases are beginning to be considered. In order to satisfy the diversified services with a long-life and high coverage satellite, it is desirable to design a satellite with the high capacity and flexibility, and to be able to change its functions flexibly after launch. Therefore, this paper introduces examples of research and development of onboard equipment that achieves high capacity and flexibility, and discusses elemental technologies required for B5G/6G NTN from the satellite perspective. |
