Visible light communication (VLC) has been getting more and more attention toward 6G, which aims to realize coverage extension.
Optical Camera Communication (OCC) uses a camera as a receiver in VLC, and is capable of detecting the direction of arrival and the shape of the source (luminous objects). One of the solutions to the problem of transmission capacity in OCC is a two-dimensional light source with a display on the transmitting side. However, the optimization of the imaging process and the method of tracking and detecting the light source have not been studied in detail.
This paper proposes a dynamic light source detection system based on the A-QL method specified in IEEE 802.15.7 as a transmission symbol format, and employs YOLO, a deep learning-based object detection algorithm, and optimizes the image capture process as a symbol detection system. Receiver can detect two-dimensional symbols with adjusting its angle and orientation by YOLO.
Then we demonstrate experimental evaluation and show the effectiveness of the system. |
