Towards Interactive Causal Analysis of Network Logs

(in English) Causal analysis of network logs is helpful for operators to understand the general behavior of network systems for troubleshooting. However, it is difficult to detect causality between log events with sufficient reliability due to the coarse granularity of the log data. In this research, we propose an interactive causal analysis approach where operators provide feedback on correct and incorrect causality from network logs
in order to improve the reliability of the causality with operator knowledge. We discuss the requirements and challenges in the following three elementary technologies: log causal analysis with prior knowledge, visualization to provide information for considering feedback, and the user interface for inputting feedback.
