Microstructures of GaN-based nanopillar-shaped crystals grown on a multicrystalline Si substrate

(in English) GaN-based nanopillar-shaped crystals were grown on a multicrystalline Si wafer which is frequently used for preparations of solar cells. Microstructures of the nanocrystals were observed by scanning and transmission electron microscopies, and their crystallinities were made clear. Moreover, their optical emission properties were evaluated by a cathodoluminescence method.
